The Friday Night Social Hour

For Friday night, we have a serious blowout of ghoulish local entertainment planned! We have 3 bands, a Brain-eating contest, and a live skit demonstrating what happens when an unwary girl finds herself on an island full of hungry zombies!

First up we have local Luchador heroes, The World Police! “Punk, Street Rock, Rock N Roll Party Vikings, celebrating the mainstream following the underground's descent into the best parts of the Roman Empire... ...Sex, Violence, Sin, Greed, Power, Orgies ... making hot rock that leads to the rising up of our glory! Lucha Libre! The Real Rock Underground, Punks, Psychos, and all other freaks that keep it real rock and maxxx and want to party!” Says their website.

Playing Rock and Punk originals as well as covers, with some unbridled insanity, and a hint of comedy, all the while proudly dressed in their Luchador (Mexican wrestling) gear, these “Rock n’ Roll party Vikings are sure to entertain!

Next up will be The Geargrinders. Truly a “St. Louis rock'n'roll band. The brainchild of Jeff Hess (Host of “Afternoon Delight” Wed. afternoons on 88.1 KDHX in St. Louis, and former member of legendary local bands, Hippies in Flames, Drunkabilly & the UnMutuals. The band originally existed 1996-1999 then reformed with a new lineup in 2007 to carry the torch of RAW POWER. Watch out world...” With their unique blend of traditional Garage Rock and a little bit of Country/Rockabilly, these rockers are sure to “blow the doors off” for anyone in attendance

Third, we’ll have a live skit from Malign Productions, featuring The Metal Maidens From Granite City’s own Metal Hedz, and members of our headlining band, Trash N’ Suicide. Without giving too much away, I can tell you that the caper centers on poor Bobbie-Sue, who finds herself trapped on a strange island, whose inhabitants, controlled by a sinister Witch doctor, have an insatiable taste for nubile human flesh, and no use for clothing!

Lastly, for the finale of the weekends kick-off, Trash N' Suicide (St. Louis’ premiere Horror-punk act) bring you hideous tales resurrected from tombs, decaying graves, vaults of death and the blood soaked lips of vampires! With their raucous stage show filled with spooky antics, their blood, guts, and gore punk-rock attitude, they are sure to terrify and thrill even those with a strong constitution! In this frightening and unique exhibition, you will hear songs of true terror, of grave robbers, of ghosts, of werewolves, of necrophiles, of Black Death, of live burials, of barren graves, and of the most ghoulish, demonic atrocities ever to burden mankind!

Influenced by the likes of T.S.O.L., Alice Cooper, 45 Grave, Baby Jane, Sid Terror’s Undead, Rocky Erickson, Screaming Lord Such, The Misfits, and The Damned, these ghouls have been frightening St. Louis with their demented brand of horror-punk for over three years!

Described as “Southern-fried horror-punk meets Death-rock,” These hard driving monsters embody the motto; “Punk is dead, and it wants to eat your brains!”

There will also be a brain-eating contest for volunteers from the audience. Here is where we separate the men from the ghouls! There will be a prize awarded to the gastronomic-ghoul who consumes the most brains (procured ahead of time by us) in the allotted time. Of course, there’s also bragging rights few could ever top!

Of course to keep the party going, (after all, it’s not a convention without drunkenly cavorting with like minded ghouls till the wee hours!) local DJs will be spinning your favorite Horror and hard rock in between acts, and afterwards until good sense and good taste dictate an end.
